Climate impact
At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide. Our hard-working sustainability team collects all the information to calculate a value: the so-called CO2 equivalents. We are now passing this information on to you so that you can make informed purchasing decisions and keep an eye on your personal carbon footprint. We also use these valuable findings ourselves, to try to make our supply chains even smarter in the future and monitor our CO2 footprint.
CO₂ emissions by product
To make the work of our sustainability team easier, we have teamed up with the company Cozero. They support us with their decarbonisation software to calculate the CO2 emissions of our products. Our products go through a lot before they make their way into your pantry or snack bowl, so there is a lot to take into consideration: production, packaging, and logistics – to name just the big steps.

CO₂ emission per product in comparison
Would you like to find out how well your favourite snack stacks up against other products in terms of carbon footprint? Say no more! To create comparability, we calculated the CO₂ emissions per 1 kg of our products and compared them with other products that end up on many people's plates every day, such as cheese, tofu, and many more. We also included coffee as a drink for comparison. So no matter if it is your favourite snack or your go-to kitchen product, you are now able to see exactly how it performs in our “CO₂ per kg of product” ranking.
Comparison of CO₂ emissions per product in kg

Disclaimer: Different methods (comparison products) - The CO2 emissions of the non-KoRo products come from a different data source. Therefore, there may be differences between their evaluation method and the evaluation of KoRo products.

Unfortunately not a good taste
This vegetable stock turns the food yellow, but has zero flavor. At first we added more salt, but that didn't help at all. It was particularly fatal in the noodle soup, which is actually a common standard recipe here. Several dishes were spoiled. We threw the vegetable stock in the bin (even though we are against food waste).
Hey, thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback! 🌱 Our vegetable stock without salt is deliberately salt-free so that you can decide for yourself how to season your dish. The fact that the product has a yellowish color is due to the natural ingredients - this is completely normal. 🍲 Unfortunately, taste is of course very individual, and we are sorry that the broth does not suit you and your dishes. If you have any questions or need help, you can always contact our customer service via the help section on our website. 😊 All the best from the KoRo team 💚
Finally a tasty broth without salt and additives.
Smells good, tastes a bit bland

31g sugar per 100g?
Thank you very much for your reply.
Hey 😊 Thank you for your thoughtful question about organic vegetable stock without salt - it's great that you look so closely! 🔍🥕💛 You're absolutely right: there is no added sugar on the list of ingredients. The 31 g of sugar per 100 g comes exclusively from the natural sugar content of the vegetables it contains, such as carrots, onions, parsnips and leeks 🧅🥕 These naturally contain fructose or glucose, which appears in the analysis value - even if no sugar has been added. So if you want to avoid added sugar, you are actually well advised to use this broth. For a completely sugar-free option (i.e. also without natural sugar), a homemade broth made from pure vegetable water would probably be the safest choice 🥣🌿 If you have any further questions or would like a personal recommendation, our customer service team will be happy to help you at any time via the help section on our website 💬🙂 All the best from the KoRo team 💚🍲✨
